I am still alive!!! To be honest I feel a little embarrassed for not being around so much lately! I really need to find a way to combine my new job, the boys, Sjors, my housework,.... and I haven't found the right way to do that yet! So please be patient I know I can do it eventuelly! I really miss you all so will try harder!

Here is what I did last week!! Carla from the Scrapheap gave me 2 lines from Echo Park paper, Summerdays and Playground!! Love Echo park paper!!! and here are the first 2 lo's I did with it!!!

Easter 2011, we spend the whole day with my brother and sister! The weather was great so we enjoyed the garden and eachother!!

My lillte poolboy, is Rick when he was almost 2 (Rick walked when he was 12 months)
I made the flower with a October Afternoon tutorial on their blog!!

The weekend is a busy one, I have to work today from 13:00 till 21:00, tomorrow all day and sunday afternoon in the evenings we want to visit Pete's dad who is in the hospital for a new hip!!

It's been a while since I blogged, I wanted to post last week but then I found out that blogger was down! I still have some trouble with blogger though, for exsample when I write a post I can't see the pictures I uploaded only the http code and when I work with windows I can't see the sidebars but I can when I use google chroom, weird?

Anyway I have had very busy last week!! I started my new job last Wednesday and I had to work every day until Saturday, you can imagine I was totally worn out yesterday evening, haha!! I really need to get used to the standing all day my feet where killing me!! The boys also need to get used a little I was always there for them and now they need to do some things on their own, especially Finn had a little trouble with being alone sometimes but I know he can do it and it will work out for him!! For me except from the tired feet and legs, I loooooove the job!!! I love the people I work with, they are all very kind and patient with me, I love the collection, and I love the customers!!!!!

Here you see Rick, this year was his first year in High School (or Middle School I am not shure)and it was a hard year!! He really needed to get used to the long hours, the bikeride (45 min) every day, de homework and making new friends (he was the only one from his old school attending this one) but he did so great!!! And now the year is almost over and next year he will be a seccond grader, he made me a proud happy mama!!!!!

And of course I am proud of my little boy as well, his soccerteam is the champion of their devision and they celebrated last night!!! He had such a great time!!

Say what??? Opgestaan plaatsje vergaan means something like Move over!!! Every time when I lay down on the grass in our backyard to get some tan and read a book, Sjors takes my spot as soon as I get up to get something!! It's so funny, it's like he says look who's the boss now missy!!!
I used this weeks sketch from Sketchy Thursday, you know how much I love them!!!

Like I told you yesterday, we also have a brand new fun challenge for you over at These Are A Few!!! This time we want to know what your fave thing about Spring is, is it the smell of freshly mowed grass, the little lambs playing outside, the bright colors, the sun, whatever it is share it!!!!

Moday again!!! Hope you all had a great weekend! We shure did!! The weather was again wonderfull! Friday we went to the theatre to see Spamalot a musical written by the people from Monty Python!! We love Monty Python (John Cleese, Michael Palin, remember)!! After the musical we went for a drink in town (Breda), it was Queensnight (the night before our Dutch Queensday, the day we celebrate our queens birthday) and it was very busy and there was music outside and all! We had a great time and the drink became a lot of drinks and dancing!!! (to bad I had my new high heels on and I had blisters the next day, wasn't prepared for a long night dancing, but hey it looked great)

Anyway the next day on Queensday I was totally worn out, I am really getting to old for that!!

Sunday I got some great news, I aplied for a job in a large fashionstore (men end women) and I got the call that they want me!! YAY, it's for 25 hours a week and I start next week!!!

I also did some scrapping!! Over at the Scrapheap forum we hava a great challenge! Use somes packigingmaterial on your lo!!

I used this frontpaper from the EP kit I got from the Scrapheap to design with!!

And here is what I did with it!!

Yep, we had such great weather the last 2 weeks, this weekend we even reached over 77 degrees!! So we really enjoyed the weather and I haven't been around the computer a lot (in holland you never know what the weather will be next week, could be snow!!!) So no bloggng and I only did some scrapping a the crop I've been to last Saturday!!

So what did we do than!!!

We took the boys to the beach (no swimming, the sea was soooooo cold)!!

Had fun in the garden with Sjors!!!Did a little BBQ!!!

So it's time for another 10 Happy Things!!

1. Baking easter cookies with Jamy! (she loved to eat the icing)

2. My hairappointment this afternoon, men do I need a haircut!!

3. Cycleshorts, they make my spinnigclass so much more comfortable!!

4. Watching Finn and his friend Quincy playing Star Wars on the wii!!

5. That Rick has to wait for half a year before he gets his braces (they want him to be ready with changing all of his teeth before they start), that means a summer filled with chickenwings for him!!

6. That our grocerystore finally sells marzipan and ready to go icing!! Guess who is going to make cupcakes for grandma's birthday next Sunday??!!

7. Reading Water for the Elephants in the sun!! Loved the book it took me 3 days to finish it and now I feel sorry that read it so fast!!

8. That Rick is doing so great at school!!!

9. That I started to take driverslessons again!!

and 10. Last but definitely not least, my life at the moment!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderfull weekend!!! We shure had, Saturday we had such wonderfull weather so after Finn's soccermatch we enjoyed the garden and the sun! Sunday wasn't that great but that gave me the change to do some cleaning and scrapping!!

Here is what I made!

This one is for the endless challenge over at the Scrapheap! The challenge is to use a different shape and I made a very huge tag!!!

I decided to use some of my stash cause I really need to make some space if I want to buy some new stuff!!!

Today is Peet's birthday, so happy birthday sweetie!! No special plans for today he's not really a birthday celebrator so we will get some people over for a drink tonight and that's it!!!

So this weekend Finn was pupil of the week at his soccerclub! Every home match one of the kids are chosen to be pupil of the week and this week Finn was the lucky one!! He walked with Bas to the field (Bas is Pete's friend), took the kick- off and shot a ball at the goallie! He was sooooo excited and had such a wonderfull afternoon, he got a clubscarf a little cluboutfit for his room and a signed b soccerball and got to sit with the coach!!! Here are some pics!!

He's got a real funny walk when he runs, don't where he got that from (probably from me I am afraid) I also have 2 lo's to share with you! I am hopeless behind, when decided to join i knew that would happen, but I love the idea of a yearbook so I will do some catching up very soon!! Anyway here is Januari!!

Creating, it is on my list to do but somehow I just can't find a way to get started!!! The weather is soooo great overhere that I try to spend as much time as possible outside (overhere you never know how long it will last, so you take what you can get) I did a lot of work in the garden, that really needed to be done, that took me quite some time since gardening is'nt really my fave thing to do. But looking at nice flowers and fresh grass makes sitting outside a lot more fun, doesn't it!! I took my first spinningclass and I really loved it, I took Sjors to the vet to get rit of an earinfection , I had a schoolmeeting and a lot of washing and ironing to do!!! Hopefully I will find some time this weekend!!!

Speaking of this weekend. tomorrow Finn is pupil of the week at his soccerclub!!!

That means he can sit with the coach of the first team of the seniors and he takes the kickoff with one of the players!!! He is so excited about it and of course we will go and watch the game!!!

I also wanted to share this with you!!!

was GREAT!! It's such a nice city, beautiful old buildings, great plaza's where you can drink, eat and enjoy the weather. If you ever get the change to go, go you won't regret it!!!

We had such a wonderfull time, the weather was so beautiful we could even eat dinner outside!! Here are a few pics!!!

This going to be a quick post, I am preparing for my trip to Madrid this Thursday (yay) and I need to pack (don't know what to take) and I want everything as easy as can be for the boys when I am gone!!! So her is the latest challenge over at Fave Things!! This time we want so see your fave pastime, how fun is that!!! Hard to choose cause there are so many rthings I like to do and so many people I love to spend my time with!!! But I must say that going out with my friends is one of the best!! I love to go out and leave everything behind me for just one evening, it uploads my battery and feel great again!!!

And here is another one I made for this challenge!! I totally misread the challenge I thought it was fave pasttime istead of pastime!! What we did last weekend!!

I know it's been a while, but I blogging isn't on top of my priotitylist at the moment, I have a lot going on right now!! Don't worry most of it is FUN, like organazing the playbackshow at Finn's school, preparing for my trip to Madrid, enjoying the great weather we had last week (and sadly enough winter got back with a lot of cold wind), but I am also taking care of my sweetie Sjors who has a bad skincondition and needs a lot of care at the moment (I think he just might be allergic to grass or something cause it always gets worse when springtime is around), helping Rick out with his homework (only 16 weeks till summervacation, YAY) and just being there for hubby who has a killing workscedule at the moment (he works for a compagnie that sells flowerpackaging and with Valentine and all the mothersdays and womendays all around the world it's very busy) And my head is filled with some new things I want to try out but just can't find the time to start with it (there will be more about this)!!! So that's why blogging wasn't my first thing to do for a while!!!

Anyway here is what I did last weekend!!!

First Finn and I made cupcakes, it's our first attempt and we where very satisfied with the result and they tasted good to!!!

Sunday Pete's parents took us to the beach for a walk, Rick didn't join us cause he was "chilling" with a friend (read, cycle to the Mc Donald's for a chickenburger and play some games on the X-box) In case you wonder why Sjors wasn't there but Sjors always drinks the salty seawater and we all know what that does to your stomach, and I don't love to clean out the car!!!

Snowdog and my baby is a teenager now!!

Yep my baby is a teenager!!! Can't believe it when did that happen???? But he is 10 now and we celebrated a little party since my dad, brother and sister are on a skitrip in Austria (yes we where invited but going on a skitrip with 20 adults and 8 kids isn't really our thing) we invited Pete's parent and some friends!! We had a lovely day, he got the Lego he wanted so badly and a lot of cash!! We celebrate another party in 2 weeks when everybody is home again!!!

I also have another lo to share with you!! I made this one for the latest challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays!! It's been a while since I joined them but I loved this sketch so much and I really wanted to scrap this pic of Sjors in the snow for a long time!!!
I cut the words out of a stickersheet they are the outlines of the sticker (hope that makes sence and you understand what I mean??)

New month, new challenge!!

And it's March again!!!! And March is a great month for me not only are we celebrating Finn's birthday tomorrow (he is turning 10 already, can't believe I am the proud mom of 2 teenagers!!!)

But in 2 weeks I will go to Madrid with Pete's mom!!!! And I am sooooo looking forward to that, love to enjoy some springweather, do some serious shopping and just look around! Never been in Madrid before so I am super excited!!!!!

I haven't been around for a while, I tried to visit all of you as much as I could, but my back was in a very bad condition for a while it still isn't what it should be but it's much better!!!

Overhere it's springbreak, Really don't understand why it's called springbreak cause spring is far far away, it's cold, grey (and that is really very grey) and wet!!! No springfun at all!! Anyway I have to entertain the boys since it's no fun to play outside and they are not allowed to play computergames every day, so today we made muffins and we will see waht tomorrow brings!! Wednesday is Finn's birtday he will be 1o can't believe that!!!!

Hi all, hope you all had a wonderfull Valentines day yesterday with lots of love!! We don't celebrate Valentines day overhere, so I cleaned my kitchen (yay that was fun!!)

But I had a wonderfull weekend!! Saturday my sister Danielle and my sister in law Grace took me out for a day shopping and a very great meal in Rotterdam!! They took me to a biological restaurant named Karakter (character) in the Van Vollenhovenstraat (if you are ever in Rotterdam and you want a nice place to eat be shure to go there it's the place for nice little restaurants) and it was so nice we had salmon, lamb and a chocolate dessert yumie!!! And of course some wine!!!

Here we are, Grace is on the right and Danielle in the middle!

And today it's time for a brand new challenge over at These Are A Few!! I am so excited cause this is the first challenge with our new DT!! And wow they are AMAZING, so much talent!! We now have 2 teams I am on team 1!!!

Today is such a great day, it's almost like spring!! The sun is shining the whole day!! So time to go outside!! I did some gardening that needed to be done for quite a while but it was to cold!! Played with my little friend for a long time!! He loves this weather, he really enjoys the sun!!

He loves to play with his ball!!

Than Rick came home from school, he loved the ride home in the sun!!

And we had a cup of tea outside! So nice to have your face in sun again!!

Just took Finn to soccerpractice and will start making dinner in a minute!!

Nothing crafty today, I did some scrapping but I can't show you yet!! I planned to scrap some tonight before and after Glee ( don't want to miss that) I do want to share an award I got a while ago!! This one was from Alfie!!

With this award I need to tell 8 things about myself, so here we go:

1. I love a glass of wine in the evening, white or rose I never drink red cause red makes my teeth purple (not a pretty sight I can tell you)!!

2. I love to cook but unfortunatly I am not really good at it, but I keep trying!!

3. I am a sleepyhead!! I can sleep everywhere, any time!!!

4. This April I am maried for 15 years!!! We met when I was 17 and we are still together (we had ours ups and downs believe me, but I hope we will be togehter for a long time)

5. My new addiction is Cityville on Facebook (thanks a lot dad for inviting me)

6. I love scrafs, I have them in every color and every size!!

7. This year it's been 10 years when my mom passed away.

8. I love to clean! Weird I nkow but cleanig helps me to keep my head clear!!

Ria, who started the Scrappassion Challenge Blog a few years ago has always dreamed about organizing a big scrapbooking event. Last September the Design Team and Ria decided to organize a Pink Ribbon Event combined with scrapbooking. Since we are all women and most of us know at least one woman who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, we decided to do whatever we can to create more awareness and money for this special cause. So ... all the Dutch and Belgian girls ... please get your diaries out and mark SUNDAY 2nd of OCTOBER, 2011. This is the day that we are organizing a big PINK RIBBON Event ! There will be workshops, a gorgeous accomodation, great lunch, a goodie bag, a Make & Take, shopping opportunities at two different scrapbooking shops and a raffle with massive prizes! All profits will go to Pink Ribbon.

Yep, not a gamelover, never have and never will be!!! I remember when we (my brother and sister) where kids my parents loved to play games with us, Monopoly, Yathzee, shovel (board?), .......................!!! Whenever it was to cold or wet to go outside we had to play a game!! Great childhoodmemorys youl'd say but not to me, I always did something else by myself (I am happy they didn't make me join the fun) Even now I hardly any play games with the boys, I know I am a bad mom, but I just don't want to!!

So you understand that this time's challenge over at Fave Things was a tough one for me!!!
FAVE GAME!!!!??????

To be honest the only game I like to play sometimes, by myself that is, is Cooking Mama on the wii!!! Yep all by myself cause when I play it with the boys they keep telling I am doing it wrong and have to hold the controller different, I need to use the nunchuck,...........! And it's the only way I can win, I am a very bad loser ;)

I also made another lo for the Scrapheap using some more Cosmo Cricket, I love this one!!! Love that photo of Marleen and me it was taken last summer on Rick's birthday!

Made this one for a challenge over at the Scrapheap!! It's a little mini with a weddingphoto of my parents inside! I used (again) the paper, stamps and ribbons of Eline's huis!

When the mini is closed I wanted it to look like a little bundle of letters!

A small post today, the weather is great again cold but very sunny!! I feel a little better today so we are going to the mall to buy Finn a new jacket for Spring and both of the boys a pear of new jeans (Finn had a whole in one of his and Rick spilled a lot of paint in his artclass at school)
And hopefully I will do some scrapping in the afternoon!!

Cosmo Cricket and some sun!!

Finally we have some sun again, it's been so long since we last saw him!! It's freezing cold but who cares? This morning I sat here and drank my coffee, so nice!!

I feel like crap at the moment, yesterday I did some serious cleaning and I think I went a little overboard cause my whole body is in pain now (well I hope it's from the work I did yesterday and not from a cold or something like that)!!

So I will take a time out this afternoon and do some scrapping! But first I have to take Rick to the docters for his seccond pollinosis treatment, the last one gave him a little headache and the place where they injected him iched, so I hope he will be better this time!!

Here is some more dt-work i did for The Scrapheap!!

Carla gave me the amazing line since 1934 from Cosmo Cricket!!

And I wanted to make 2 totally different lo's, one with an old photo and one with a new one!

And here the one with the new photo, Finn making homework!

I love the diversity from this line you can use it for your old pics but also for newer ones!!
I also made this card, I saw something like this on someone elses blog (can't remember who's, sorry) but I loved and wanted to make one myself!!

My first DT project for the scrapheap!!

Yep, here is my first project for The ScrapHeap!!! I got my kit a few weeks ago and wow was I happy, packed with fun paper!!! One of the lines was October Afternoon's seaside a perfect line to scrap you summer pics!! I made a mini of our summervacation in Spain 2 years ago, I also used some Sassa Frass leftovers and some ribbons from my stash!!

Don't know how that happened but the first two pics switched and I can't get them back in the right place!!!????

Not a lot news overhere!! The boys are still not feeling well! :( I am keeping Finn home the rest of the week cause he is still coughing and has a sore throat and he as pale as gost!!!!
So that's it for today!!!

Here is another fun challenge for you!!! Over at These Are A Few we want to see your fave qoute!!! It can be a qoute from a movie, a celebrity, you child or anything you like!!!

For me it is He who dares wins it's not only a qoute from my fave tv show Only fools and horses (If you know this serie you also know that Dell-boy loves to say this) but I also say that to the boys a lot!!! Not that I want them to be winners but just to confince them that they have to try new things, take different roads!! For example last year we went on a skitrip but Rick really didn't want to go, he hated the cold and he would never learn how to ski!!!! A few weeks before we should leave my brother and nephew (real skifans) took him to an indoor skicourse and guess what...... he LOVED it!!! And he was exually very good at it, he even won seccons prize in the match!!!! (Finn won first but Finn isn't afraid for anything so when he came down he almost sat on the ground, but Rick's technique was excelent!!!

Look at my poor baby!! After a stumachflu of 3 weeks (it just wouldn't go away he felt good for 2 days and than it came back again!!) Finn has the flu now he was so sick, I am happy to say he feels better now but now dear hubby has it!! And when men are sick they are SICK!!!! Pffft hope he will feel better soon!!!

First challenge Scrapassion International is up!!!

I am so excited to tell you that the first challenge over at Scrappassion International is up and running!!! And we have a great one for you to start the new year with! And before I forget I want to wish you all a very happy, loving, healthy and crafty year!!!!

Anyway back to the challenge, we want you to create a lo or project with your word for 2011, that word can be anything that you think is important for you in 2011!!!

But there is a little twist, we want you to make a vintage style lo!!!

If you know me, you know I love vintage but it's not my style!!!

So this was a hard one for me, but this is what I came up with!!

I choose the word create, cause this year for me is all about creating not only in scrapping but also in my personal life, create more changes, create more me-time, create more peace in my head and body, I could go one for a while but I think I made the picture!!

I have been a really bad blogger the last few weeks!!! I know I might have let you down!

But (like most of you) I was extremely busy the week before Christmas, so I planned to catch up when the boys had their vacation, boy was I wrong thinking I would have more time on my hands by then!! Well I couldn't have know both of them would catch a stomachfluw (aaargh why do they get that in their vacation) that just won't go away!!! Today is the first day Finn feels a little better, I was happy Rick felt better a few days ago!!! So I spend my time cleaning toilets, washing bedsheets, making tea and buying biscuits, o and I did some dt work I really needed to do!!!

Tomorrow is my birthday (can't believe a year has gone) and I have to clean around a bit and do some shopping and buy loads of oliebollen (kind of beignets with currants we eat at new yearseve) so today is a short post!

A lot of snow and no creating at all!!!

Hope you are all enjoying the last week before Christmas and hope you are not to stressed!!

Vacation has started overhere and although I planned to do some creating every day, I haven't done a thing!!! I am just to busy with, shopping, cooking, cleaning, entertainning the boys, shoving the snow, well you get the picture I guess to you it sounds very familiar!!!

If you are Dutch you probably have seen enough snow, but here are some pics from last weekend!!! We had loads of snow!!! It started Thursdaynight not much but enough to let Rick take the bus to school Fridaymorning, but it got so bad (lightning and storm) that he phoned me after an hour to tell me he was still in Heenvliet and there where no busses passing by at all, I told him to come home I phoned school and they told me there where no busses driving anymore.

Nothing crafty today, I've been running around like crazy the last few days so I didn't do anyy scrapping at all!!

But I wanted to share some pics with you!!

Last Fridaynight when we looked outside we saw this!!!!

When we got up Saturday the backyard was all white, love the fresh snow with only the pawprints of the birds in it!!

The boys had a great time and where outside the whole afternoon!

Unfortunatly by Monday most of the snow was gone, but yesterdaymorning we had this!! It was very foggy and ice covered all the trees it was so beautiful!!

This is across our street, where I always walk Sjors!!

He is a bit anoyed by me throwing snow at him, she is sooooo not funny!!

These chicken live at the entrance of our village!!

Just finished decorating (I will shoot some pics of that later) and I hope I will have some time to play with some paper this weekend!!

December first, can't believe this is the last month of 2010 already!! It's been quite a year for me, so I want to enjoy December as much as possible!! (and my last month in my thirtiest)

Anyway a new month also means a new challenge over at Scrappassion!!!

This month we would love to see you create some homedeco!!! Can be anything, boxes, frames, candles, whatever you want!!!

I altered a teabox (Xenos)!!

I painted the inside white and used again the Tilda wintergarden paperpad!!!

Hello winter !!!!!!!!!

My goodness it's cold outside!!! It started this weekend with snow in the east and south of the country (we live in west near the coast so we are always the last ones with snow)!! But it was COLD!! It got worse, yesterday it was only 28 dergrees F and look what Finn found in the garden (we have a very large bucket with water and small fishes in the backyard, that's where he got it from, hope the fish are still allive otherwise we will have fishfingers for dinner tonight)

Here is another photo I took outside yesterday, love look of the ice on the green!!

Tomorrow we will have the coldest day, they say it will be about 23 degrees F during the day, but there will be a lot of wind so it will feel like it's only 5 degrees F, hope they are wrong about that!!! Otherwise we really need to bundle up and stay inside!

Oh and we did get snow yesterday (we had a few flakes before) not much, a very thin layer but enough to make snowballs!!!

So enough chitchat about the weather!!

I have 2 lo's to share with you!!

The first one is for Sketchy Thursday!! Another great sketch this week!! And last week I was a Sketchy fave with my Yes lo, so cool!!!

This one is for Jamy, the little girl I baysit every Wednesdaymorning, she is such a doll and has the most beautiful eyes ever!!!

I used a lot of Eline's huis here (she isDutch abd wrote such a great book with so much inspiration) Everything is handmade, the 2 white butterflies are made of clay that dries at the air, just put a clearstamp in it cut it in shape or use a cookieshape let dry and voila!! (got it out her book, but I think it's a great way to use my clearstamps)

And this one is for the latest challenge over at Fave things!!! We want to see your fave celebrity!! And wow did I struggle there, I had no inspiration at all!!! I don't really have a fave cellebrity! But if I had to chose one it would be Cesar Millan, I love the way he works with dogs and people!! We watch is show as much as possible and I read his book, be the packleader and I really loved it!! I used a lot of the doggypaper from Basic Grey! I bought the whole line cause it would be great to scrap Sjors on it I thought, but it was lying around and I used only a little of it on my fave pet LO!! The colours are so not mine and I had no idea what to do with it!!! So finaly I used it on this one!!

A mini ??????

Yep, a mini made by me!!!! I never do mini's, but when I bought this paper a while ago and saw all the cute little houses, I remembered a mini that Ingeborg got me at the crop in May and I thought it would be fun to use Tilda's home for Christmas paper for it!!!

And I love how it turned out!!!!

This weekend will be a fun one, tomorrow Rick is getting a friend from school over for the afternoon in the evening we will visit some friends we haven't seen a long time, so looking forward to another evening with good friends, the kids, a glass of wine what more do we need? Sunday the boys will go to a soccermatch (Sparta) with the soccerclub, Pete has his own match so I have to bring them to the club and after that I will have the whole afternoon for myself!!

I wanted to go to Heesch but I have to take the boys at 13:00 so it will be to late to go (it's a 3 hour journey for me)!! I hope I can make it next time!!!

So Jenneke, Jeanet, Peggy, Marit and the others that will be there have fun and I hope to see you soon!!!!

These are a Few!!

Today is such a beautiful day, the sun is shining and the sky is blue, it was a cold night, there was even a little ice on the shedroof, but today is wonderfull!!!

To bad I can't do some work in the garden cause we are getting new gutters on the front and the back of the house!!!

The weekend was very nice, the kids had a sleepover at my brother's on Saturday, so Peet and I cooked us a very nice meal together and did some talking and eating (wich was very nice) and after that we spend the evening with some friends and we had a wonderfull time!!!

Yay for great weekends!!!

I can't believe that th next challenge is already up and going on These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things!! And this time we have very special one!! I've been a very bad blogger, I know!!! I tried to visit everybody as much as possible but I had so manny things going on the last few months that sometimes I just wanted to sit down and watch some tv or read a book!! I didn't do much scrapping either, I worked on some projects for the blogs I design for and that's it!!! But..... I will be better from now on and start working!!!

I already started to make some FUN Christmas projects, wich I can't show you yet but I will soon!!!

Last Wednesday we finally cellebrated Finn's birthday (his b-day is March 2, so shame on us) with his schoolfriends!!! We did this together with his friend Niels (his b-day was yesterday so his parents are way better that we are, hahaha)!!!! Anyway we took the boys and one girl to a survival thing (don't know the english word for that) And they loved it!! They did, but Finn had a little excident (nothing serious but was sooooooo scared after that) See what happened!!!

He was oké here, loved to climb the wall!!!

But doing this he fell backwards and bumped his head against the floor and didn't want to go up!!

After a while sitting with me, he did go up!!!

But paniced when he was here, but he couldn't come down and had to move on!

He was crying and so afraid!!!

And see he is tough boy and went up again with the other kids attached to eachother!!!

I was so proud of him!!!!

Here is a card I made it's part of one of the projects I did. I used some Tilda papers. I love Tilda they have great paper, fabric, embellisments and dolls!!!

And I got this award from the talented and sweet Michelle H!!! Thanks again Michelle!!!

Can't believe it's weekend again and December is getting closer and closer!!!

This has been a strange week for me, a while ago I told you that I had a new job in a big bridalshop, remember? I worked there for 3 weeks every weekend, but this week I decided to quit the job!!! Working every weekend was harder for me that I thought it would be, not being able to spend the days with my guys made me so sad!! But that was not the only thing that made me decide to leave, they treat the people that work for them like they should be honored to work there and they had to accept a lot of things I don't agree with!!!!! So now I am home with the boys again, I feel a little sad cause I really like the branche and I made 2 very sweet friends (I will keep seeing them, I am shure) but I wasn't feeling like myself anymore!!!!!

But I am shure that there is something out there for me and I will find it!!!!

I did mine about soccer, not that i am a such a big soccerfan but with 3 guys in the house, it's all about soccer here!!!! Hubby played the game for years and is coaching now, Rick quit the game a few years ago but will be back next season and Finn is still playing!!
So our place is filled with soccergear, shoes, bags, shirts, protection, books, magazines, games you name it and we got it!!!!!!! :(

The goalpaper I had for years, don't know where it came from, I am afraid!!! The little tag with Johan Cruijf (our greatest soccerplayer ever) came from a pair of shoes!! And I used a sketch from CK for this one!!!

The boys are back to school (they had a wonderfull time in London with their grandparents and took a lot of pics I will show some of them as soon as I can)!!!

Hubby and I had a great time shopping and had a great meal. So we are almost back to normal again!!!

And today is the birthday of my sweet doggie Sjors!!!!!!!!!

Today he is 4 can't believe he is already with us for 4 years!!!! I took him for a nice walk this afternoon and gave him an extra treat!!!!

So when fall came, the rain came and when the rain came a cold came!!!

And it really hit me big time this weekend, I even couldn't go to the crop of a Dutch forum last Sunday, I felt like crap!!!

I am still not feeling good, better but I still have to take painkillers !!!

And the bad thing is that the boys are to England with their grandparents for a few days and Peet took a couple of days off so we could spend some time together!!

We want to go to Rotterdam to do some shopping and have a meal and spend a day at home, and I sooooooo hope that I will be better in 2 days (please keep your fingers crossed)

I did some scrapping last week (not much), at the moment I spend more time behind my laptop than that I am scrapping and to be honest with you I do not like that, I miss sitting behind my table and work!!! So I decided to spend less time behind my computer I will be online for about an houre a day so there will be more time creating!!!

Today is the first day I wore my new winterjacket, it was so cold!!!

I must say that I am having a little cold, I am not feeling a 100% maybe that's the reason I was sooooo cold the whole day (I am even wearing a wintersweater right now)!! So I cleaned out all the closets and put away all the shorts, tanktops, t'shirts and strapless dresses and it made me a little sad, summer is gone so soon!!!!

But with a new season comes a new oppertunity!!!!

And guess what!!!! I have found myself the greatest job EVER!!!! I am working in a bridalshop called Avenue in Rotterdam!! I started last weekend (I work weekends, since the boys spend their time on the soccerfield and I love to watch them play, but in wintertime at 8 in the morning isn't really my cup of tea to be honest, that doesn't make a me a bad mom does it?) And I loved it, it's perfect for me, I love to advice the brides, I love to be out of the house, I love to be in the city!!!

It's busy and I have to get used to use my time now (I am a neatfreak so I need the house to be clean otherwise I will go crazy, that does sound a little pathatic Í am afraid but it's true) So please excuse if I visit you a little later than normal but I don't want to sit behind my laptop every day I need to spend time with my men too!!!!

So that was a little update about my life!!!

And now for the scrapping, I am not really scrapping a lot these days!! But Monday I made some time and did a sketch for Sketches for all!!

Here it is:

I used Graphic 45 paper again (don't know the name of it to be honest) and I even inked a lot (I don't do that a lot)!!!!!!

And for some more news (for the dutchies) Scrappassion is starting a tutorial blog first of November!!! Ria found some very talented girls that will explaine different techniques!!!

I am not going to tell you (again) how fast September went, cause we all know that don't we?? The kids are all back to school. the evenings are getting longer, the mornings are colder and there are spiders and snales all over my garden (how fun is it walking the dog, killing snales and walking with my head through spiderwebs with VERY BIG spiders, Yay) The other day I opened my kitchendrawer and there he was......... a very big spider (still wondering how he got in there???)
I yelled to Finn if he could get it out, but even Finn thought no way Jóse, that one is waaaaay to big, so I took the soupspoon, opened the kitchendoor and threw it outside!!! Eeks and than Finn told me they are never alone...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (haven't found his mate yet!!)

I know I haven't been around for a while but the last few weeks I just couldn't find the energy to blog a lot!!! BUT...... I am back, I feel so much better, I found my peace and I am not that restless anymore!!!!

So let me tell you about my weekend!!!

I have been away with the girls from Scrappassion, we rented a little house and spend the whole weekend together and we had such a great time!! Six of us stayed over and 3 of us came over on a Saturday, we talked, made plans, ate, drank, scrapped but most important we laughed a lot!!!!

Here we are scrapping !!!!!!

You are 100 on the scale of love!!!

It's time for another challenge over at These are a few of my favorite things!!!

This was a hard one for me, cause this time we want to know your fave poem!!

And to be honest I am not really into poems, I like them don't get me wrong but I never read them!!!!

I remember when my brother maried his lovely wife Grace ( I know you are reading this Grace and I really love you) he read this beautiful poem to her about how much he loves her and that when the time would come one of them had to leave this life he hoped he would be the one to go first cause he couldn't imagine living without her (how beautiful is that, gotto love him). For a long time I would say that was my fave poem if someone would ask me!!!

But after Finn was born we heared this beautiful poem written by Dolf Jansen (a Dutch comedian) about the love for his newborn baby, he tells that he knows abour wars, hunger, poverty and all the bad things in the world but when he holds his baby and looks at it he forgets all about it cause she is 100 on the scale of love. I loooooooved it so that's why I used this one (and because it's only poem I know, hahaha)

I used a photo of Finn I took in France this summer, I love the way he looks and how it shows the freckles on his nose, he so sweet!!!

Shiny happy people!!!

You know the feeling of a bad day when almost everything you do goes wrong and you wished you could crawl back to bed!!????
I had that for almost a week, don't know what was wrong with me but it started Sunday when I was taking a shower and shaving my legs and I cut myself not really bad but with the hot water (I love a hot shower and by hot I mean HOT even in the summer) there was blood all over the place!!!!! And from then stupid things happened to me whole week!!! Like walking the dog and than it starts to rain very hard (it was raining here all the time and still I forgot to take an umbrella) I was soaked!!! Dropping a glass, a mug and a plate in one week (how lucky will I be)!! Going to do the groceries and forget my wallet so I had to go back and get it (I was happy I found out before I went in the store and not at the check-out)!!!!

I could go on for a while but I won't cause reading this back makes me feel like fool!!!

I got to get my head together!!!!;)

Anyway, Saturday we finally celebrated Rick's Birthday and we had a wonderfull day the weather was so nice (after Saturday is got really bad, rain rain and rain, yek) so we could sit outsite!!!!

And last but not least I want to share Rick's result for his first English test!!! We have a different system as you in the U.S we use numbers from 0 to 10 (0 is very bad and 10 is very good) And he scored 9,8 YEAAHHH!!! We are so proud of him, he doing so good he also had a 10 for Dutch!! So Peet is calling him a nerd now!!!! I hope he will keep working as hard as he does now!!!

That's it for today, I have to work tonight and tomorrow afternoon and hopefully will do some scrapping this Sunday! Have a wonderfull weekend!!!!

Can you believe it's September already!!!!!!

Summer is almost over, we had a lot of rain and wind the last few days, I am happy yesterday and today are much better!!!

I am glad August is over to be honest it was such a bad month for me, so for September I hope to get things the way I want, it will take while but I hope that by October I can say that September was good month!!!

His birthday was yesterday!!

And he is 12 years old now!!!

I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday!!! It was in this house on a cold summerday and he was the sweetest beautiful baby I had ever seen!!

And now he is 12 and going to a new school, meeting new kids in a different town and he has to do it all by himself!!!

I know I am getting a little emotional over this but he is still my baby!!

And he is having a hard time, he will be oké I am shure cause he is such a sweet kid!!

Last Friday he had to go and get his books and his scedule and in the afternoon we covered all his books (we have to do that cause the books are borowed from school).

Yesterday was his first introductionday, they had dramaclass the whole day and today he met all the kids in his class and they played games and had a bbq!!!

And tomorrow he starts for real!!!

We didn't had him a big party, we will do that Sept 4th we invited all our friends and fam and when the weather is good we will bbq!!!

Here he is covering his books , of course did most of the work since he never did that before, but to be honest I made a few mistakes it was such a long time ago!!!!

Meet Jamie, my poor Sjors and some cards!!

I want you all to meet Jamie!!!!

She our friends litttle girl and I will be babysitting her every Wednesdaymorning!!

This week was the first time and we had so much fun I love to have a little one around me again!! She is 2 and a half and she is so funny!! You will be seeing her a lot from now I am afraid!!

The only bad thing was that she was sooooo afraid of Sjors, I can imagine that cause he comes to her waiste when he stands next to her, but he likes her so much and all he wants is to give her kisses and hugs (so sweet) I am shure that within a couple of weeks she will love him!!!

Speaking of Sjors, the poor thing!! I really don't know what he did wrong but lucky isn't exactly his middlename!!! When Rick and I took him for a walk we met a friend of ours and she has a dog and a mixture between a German Shepard and a Rottweiler. When the dogs where little they always played together and had fun but after a while Tess (the other dog) changed and didn't want to play anymore!! Well, to make a long story short today she attacked Sjors, we where just talking and suddenly she was all over him!! At first we couldn't see any blood so I took him home but when I checked him he had 2 toothmarks on his cheek I didn't want to take any risk so I took him to the vet (again), fortunatly she didn't have to stitch or glue or staple she cleaned him and used some salve, we have to clean a couple of times a day and put salve on it!! So please keep your fingers crossed that it will heal soon an dhe won't scratch it!

I also wanted to share some cards with you!! I made these for 2 little girls who recently lost their mother and little brother in a planecrash near San Diego!! They are close friends to Tara one of my first blogfriends, Tara asks everyone to send those 2 girls a card!! You can find Tara blog post here here here here !!!!!!

Another problem solved and back to normal!!!

Yep, my problems with Blogger seem solved!!! Yesterday Hubby installed wireless internet and yes I uploaded my photo's without any trouble!!! I m a happy girl now!!!

We needed the wireless internet cause Rick has his own laptop (got it from grandpa and grandma because he is going to a new school) and we want him to use it upstairs on his own room, we will check on him to see if he does his homework instead of playing those online games he loves, we aren't born yesterday!!!!

Speaking of homework, can't believe the vacation is over, tomorrow we are back to normal!!

Finn starts tomorrow and Rick has to go and get his books and his scedule this Friday!!

Next week Rick has to go to school, I will mis him so much, he will be gone the whole day (overhere the kids eat lunch at home) so I will be eating sandwiches together with Finn!!!

But we will have the weekends together!!!

Me and Blogger, not such a good idea!!!!

I am not really a computerexpert, far from that and i had a lot of trouble with my laptop since Spring but most of the problems are solved now, except my struggle with Blogger!!! Posting a message takes me about an hour (can you believe it?) I know I am not the worlds fastest typist and I have to check my spelling (Dutch and English and I am even not that good in checking either) But every time I want to upload some photo's my internet disconnects and I have to go to another site to connect again, that doesn't only happen when I am uploading but when I am linking as well!! This is the seccond time I write this post cause I deleted one of the photo's by accident and I couldn't upload it again, aaarghh!!!!

Anyway I wanted to show you 2 lo's!!!

The first one is for the sketchchallenge at Nikki Sivils blog!!!!

Loved this months sketch I changed it a little and used all Nikki Sivils except for the alphastickers!!!

The photo was taken in France in Post Avon a very cute little town, with the most lovely little houses and flowers every where, so beautiful!!!

This one is for Sketchy Thursdays, this week they had a sketch for a double page but I made a single one!! I love that I could use more photo's so I was able to scrap the whole day on 1 page!!

The pics are form last Friday, my sister and sister in law and me took the kids to Plaswijckpark that is a parc in Rotterdam with a little zoo, a playgarden and a resaurant!! the weather was great so we had a great time!!!

Vacation!!!

Unbelievable only 1,5 week and school starts, well for Finn it does Rick has a few weeks left!! Can't believe how fast the last weeks went!!

To be honest I will be glad when things will be back to normal, never thought I would say that but this summer isn't just the best one for me!! Things keep comming and I would love a little time on my own to get it all sorted out!!!

But first we are going to enjoy these last days togehter!!

To be honest I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I am having a little trouble to focus at the moment!!!

Yesterday we took the boys to see The Karatekid and we all loved it what a great movie!

The bad thing is that right now we have 2 karatekids in the house, my goodness hope they won't hurt theirselfs , good thing the weather is good enough so they can go to the public pool with their friends!!!!

Parc Asterix!!

The good thing of vacation and 2 big boys is that I don't have to entertain them all of the time anymore that leaves me more time to scrap!!!

Don't get me wrong I don't let them watch tv or play with the wii all the time (they wish), we've been to the pool, to friends and this week we want to take them to The Karatekid, they so want to go and see it (I know I will regret that when I have 2 kung foe fighters in the house practising everything they have seen in the movie)

Anyway back to the scrapping!!!

After a long time I played with a sketch from Sketchy Tursday again!!

I love their sketches but I was to busy to join!!

Here it is!!!

I used my Kreatorville Kraft kits for this one, made the banner and used the arrows!!

Julie used them on hers and that reminded me I had them!!

He scared me to death!!!

He is oké, but I just have to tell you what happened today!!

When we go on a vacation we always bring Sjors to a dog kennel, he is going there since he is 2 and he always has a great time playing with the other dogs and he loves the people that work there!!! As you might know Bulldogs are having a very hard time breathing when it is hot!! We keep Sjors in a good shape so we never had any real trouble with that!! But today after Peet picked him up from the kennel, he (Sjors) was totally stessed out it is a 15 min drive and he was breathing so heavy that his throath got swollen and his tongue turned blue!! We tried to cool him down with the hose but it didn't work.

So we called the vet and he told us to come immediately!!

When we got there Sjors bodytemp was 102 and his heart was beating way to fast, the vet threw a bucket cold water with methylated spirit over him and gave him and injection to protect his heart waited for 5 min and threw another bucket over him to cool him down!!! We had to stay for a while to see what happened and he got a little better so we got to take him home and cool him down some more and we had to let him drink, but he had to do it himself cause otherwise he could choke. The vet gave us his cellphonenumber in case he got worse again!!

We where so worried but when we got home we cooled him again and he started to drink and fell a sleep for half an hour when he woke up he was all right and wanted to eat!!!

We are so happy he is better again, cause the scarry thing is if we where 15 min later at the vet he would have died.

No need to say how relieved we are!!!

So we are back!!!

We came home a few days earlier than we planned, but the weather in Bretagne wasn't as good as the rest of Europe :( We had a lot of rain, wind and it was so cold especially in the morning and the evening we even had to use a heater!!??

So after a few days we deceided to go to Paris and visit Parc Asterix, and the boys loved it!!

Don't get me wrong we had a great time together, played games saw a lot even took a swim in the pool (brrrr) and Bretagne is a beautiful place, gorgeous beaches and such lovely cottages!!

Here are some pics!!!

We first went to Dieppe in Normandie. In 1942 Canadian soldiers practiced D-Day overthere only 10% of the soldiers made it back they learned from their mistakes and used that on D-Day!!

This is the monument for all the Canadian soldiers that died back then!!

We all know how this ended!!! We watched the finals in France on a very small tv with a hundred people!!! Hubby had a swell time, hahaha!!!

The coastline is really gorgeous, imagine living there!!!

Port Aven is one of the sweetest little towns I have ever been!!

On the first sunny morning we had the boys played some golf!! Unbelievable that after all that rain the grass is so yellow?????

Last thing for today, this weeks challenge over at CP4U!!! This week Debbi gave us a beautiful photo of some gorgeous weddingcakes to use as inspiration!! And since my friend was best women on her cousins wedding I deceided to make a gift box she could give!!

I painted some simple wooden boxes (Xenos) wrapped some ribbon around and made a lot of roses out of cardstock put them all tohether and added some butterflies on top!!

After that I wrapped some wire with pearls around the roses!!

I love the result!!!

Tour de France!!!

As some of you might know, the Tour de France started in the Netherlands this year!!

In Rotterdam to be exact and today they had to go from Rotterdam all the way to Brussels (Belgium) that is about 149 miles.

And they past Heenvliet, how exciting is that!!!!

Of course we walked up to the road to see Lance and his buddies!!!!

We had to wait for a long time, lucky to say the weather was great!!

And finally there are the 3 first runners!!

And after a few minutes the rest, Lance is somewhere in between!! It took them 10 sec to pass us!!!!

We thought this was very scary, see the electricity cables!!

And a week ago a helicopter crashed while they where reporting a tour and 2 of the 3 men inside died, that happened about 6 miles from our home!!

First of all I want to thank all of you who left me a comment on my last post, it really made me feel so much better!! Love you all!!!

Yesterday we had a very warm day, about 90 degrees I know some of you are having much warmer weather but we are not used to that, our houses don't have airconditioning!!! I kept the dog inside and we stayed in as much as possible in the evening it started to rain but today is still warm and cloudy.

So summer has started!!!

Speaking of summer, over at CP4U we have a very nice summer challenge for you!!

This week Angie chose a very beautiful paradise picture as our inspiration!!!

And here is what I made of it.

This is the first time I used Graphic 45 paper, I always love their paper but I don't really know how to use it so I never bought me some, but I just couldn't resist this line!!

First i have a new challenge to share with you, it's this months challenge over at Scrappassion!!

This time 9t was Monique that had to come up with the challenge and she did great!!

She wants us to make a LO or project using black and white in paper and picture or brown and white and a sepia picture!!

Here is what I did, 2 of my sweethearts they are so alike!!!

But I also got some very sad news this week, my sweet aunt passed away yesterday she was sick for 2 months and we knew she wouldn't get better but it all went so quick!!

She was such an amazing lady, always happy, always smilling, when she entered a room the whole room was alive. I will miss her like crazy.

in a theatre filled with 17 year (or even 15 year)old girls is a total blast,they are so funny the things they say my goodness can't repeat them overhere!!! We love the movie, Seth is such a cutie and love the Rosalie and Jaspers storie and what about when the fam is hunting Victoria how cool is that???!! Julie can't wait to hear what you loved most!!

I need to tell you that Iam a little embarressed, I know I haven't been around so much lately but with the warm weather and the kids home I just don't have enough time on my hands to sit down and blog !!! but I will try to be around more again so please don't leave me!!!

Yesterday was Ricks last day in elementryschool, (snif) in the evening they had a special evening for the kids and their parents, the kids peformed in a musical!! Rick was a special agent surching for diamonds, he looked very cool (Stabler move over)!! I must say it was a little emotional for me, seeing my little boy saying goodbye to all his friends!! i know they all live in the same village but he is the only one going to the school we chose for him so he has to start all over again!!!

But he will make a lot of new friends i am shure about that!!!

Not much to tell right now!!! Only one week and the boys are free from school, YAY!!

The weather is great it's about 75 degrees, so we try to be outside as much as possible!!

The Netherlands are playing a game right now and they just scored!!!

And over at CP4U we have awonderfull challenge for you!!!

This time is was this months's guestdesigner Camilla who had to come up with one!!

She wants you to make a project inspired in the story of the message of a book!!

I gave it a thought and I couldn't really think of a book that I wanted to scrap about right now!!

So I choose this childerensbook by Annie MG Smidt!

When I was a little girl my mom always told my sister and me the stories and rhymes that this wonderfull lady wrote, she also used to sing us songs, (this is for the Dutchies, De koningin van Lombardijen, Het fluitketeltje, Mijn opa, enz..)

So when I got the boys I started to read them the same stories and sang them the same songs (I am afraid that they didn't always like the singing, hahaha)!

I really treasure this book, cause reading it still brings back those wonderfull memories!!!

Focus!!!!

That's what I need to do, right now!!! At the moment I am one step behind on everything I want and need to do!! The last 2 weeks of school are ridiculous busy (and I don't even have a job, how do you working mom's do it) I won't bother you with all the things I need to do but I am going to make a list tomorrow cause I can't keep it in my head anymore!!!! First thing on my list is call my internetprovider (again) cause my e-mail still isn't working the way it should I keep missing mails from you ,school, hubby and friends!! Hope the computerguy can explain what i have to do (I think he can explain but will I understand that's the question!!!)

Good thing we are leaving for France within 3 weeks. yeah!!!!

Nothing crafty to show you yet, but I do have some pics from last weekend!!!

Here's what happens when Hollands plays!!! (Terrible game but we won, so no complaining here)

And Saturday we had a great meal in a tapasrestaurant with my sweet friend Toni and her lover!!! We had such a great time, we hadn't seen each other for a long time so we really needed to catch up!!!

This week was my turn to come up with a challenge for CP4U and I can tell you that comming up with a challenge is not my thing!!!!

I think, think, think and think again and than I decided to surf the net to find some inspiration and I found this photo and I loved it right away!!!

I love this photo of Peet's mom and I wanted to scrap for a while!!

Fave Toy!!!

What's your fave toy, that's what we want to know this time over at these Are A Few!!!

After all the fun and all the prizes, did you see all the prizes??? We had 28 prizes and we thought we could give all the participants a prize, but..... we had way more players and Amy was so kind to give the rest of them a prize how sweet is that????!!! Thanks Amy you are the best!!

So I hope to see you all back with your fave , or his or your kids fave toy!!!!!!

I did one about my hubby and our new car!!!

We got the car a few weeks ago it's a nissan Qashqai and it's an amazing car!!!

He loves it and keeps playing with the radio and the navigation!!!

And Sarah asked me if we are watching the World Cup, yep we watch 3 matches a day well the boys do, I have seen Portugal (cause Cristiano Ronaldo is such a hunk, to bad they are not alowed to take their shirts off anymore, hahaha) and of course The Netherlands, we are playing next Saturday again so we all go over to my brothers and watch it together (dressed in orange and with some vuvuzela's of course!!)!!!!

And I have seen England-USA!!!!!

So how is your week so far???

Ours is very busy (what's new???) Rick is joining the clubchampionship at his tennisclub and has to play a match almost every evening!!!

I have a hairdressers appointment, a doctersappointent for Rick (got to check his hayfever, cause I want some new medicine for him) a schoolmeeting and I could go on and on!!!

So I am happy that there is soccer on t.v. every evening cause that gives me a change to scrap a little!!!

And I made 2 cards, yes I did cards!!!!

Made this one for someone I just met and I can tell you I love her!!!

And I made this one from the Nikki Sivils goodies I recently won!!!!

This one is for my aunt ( she is very special to me), she is very sick and since I can't visit her as often as I want I decided to make her a card every week!!!

Hope she will love it!!

Oh and before I forget, we won our first match in the World Cup and did you see all the Dutch fans??? Can we dress up or what??????

He's back and it's time to recycle!!

Yesterday Rick got back from schoolcamp!! He had such a wonderfull time, they had some rain now and than but that's a good thing for Rick's hayfever!!!

He was exhausted I send him to bed at eight and he woke up at eight this morning!!!!!;)
And you wouldn't know the bag of dirty laundry he brought back, good thing the weather isn't that moist anymore (we had a terrible hot, rainy and moist week last week) so I can wash it all away!!!!

I also want to tell you about the new challenge over at CP4U!!

This week we want to recycle!!!

I made a mini out of clothing tags!!

The boys love to wear the clothes Protest (That's a surf and ski brand) makes so I had a lot of tags lying around and I never through the tags away (you never know when you can use them)!! I thought the tags would be perfect for some beach pix from Spain!!

I used some stamps, butterflies and flowers!!!

Hope you all have a wonderfull weekend, we already did some shopping and watching soccer right now (the boys will be watching a lot of soccer the next weeks, so I can do a lot of DT work before we go to France)

It's time to let go!!! But It's soooo hard!!

This week Rick is on schoolcamp, every year the 8th graders are going away for a week to say goodbye and have a good time!! Only a few weeks and elementary school is over (snif) !!

Tuesday June 29th is the very last day, the kids will do their musical ( the last weeks the kids study a musical and they will perform it to the rest of the school during the day and in the evening there is a special program for the kids and their parents)

After the summer he will go to middleschool, he has to go to another town and he will go there by bike!!!!

He is growing so fast, and not only physical!!!!

So it is time for me to start to let go (he is making that very clear I can tell you) but it is sooooo hard, to me he is still my baby!!!

Anyway here is a lo and some pics from him one the day they left!!

Last Saturday I had a crop/meeting with the Scrappassion dt and we had a wonderfull time!!

It was the first time we met and it was like we already knew eachother for years!

We scrapped (yes I did 1 and a half page) talked laughed and shopped!!!

Vintage, that is a hard one for me, cause I never did that before!!!

Since my mom died 10 years ago and I didn't have a digital camara back then, I am runnig out of photo's of her! I do have loads but she put them all in albums and I don't want to take them out cause she made them and wrote all kind of funny and sweet things in them!!

What a great time we had this weekend, very busy but a lot of fun!!

Fridaynight we took the boys to the fair, they had such a great time!!

They love to play with these (costs a fortune and all they win is those little bags when you through them on the street they blow up and they smell like rotten eggs)

Is it Friday already??????

My goodness how fast this week is!

Today is the first day of the horsemarket weekend, tonight is the official opening of the fair and of course we are going to take the boys!!

They already know what the want to do, the Speed, the turbo poliep, and Finn wants to fish little duckies!! He gave the guys from the duckies a hand Wednesday afternoon by helping them to unload the boxes with stuffed animals and now he got a disscount coupon!!

Saturdat Rick is going to the fair with some friends from school and I will take Finn together with Pete's mom, Pete has a soccergame, Saturnight we are going out with friends and Sunday we are going to the artmarket and bbq in the evening, Monday is the horsemarket at 5 in the morning (don't know if I am going to make that, hahaha) and the whole day there is a big market, the village will be crowded and we can't get in or out!!!

So a lot of fun!!

Sjors is doing better, it's not completely gone but we don't have to take hime out every 2 hours anymore!!!

I used a large frame that came in a bag with 5 I bought them at the Xenos and you can stick them to your walls!!

In the frame I put a few small ones (Xenos) I got one a while ago from Jenneke and when this challenge came up I thought it would be perfect to use those frames so I got myself some more!!

I used old pics of my mother, and her parents!!!

Some days you gotta dance!!!

What a bad start I had!:( Sjors has something like a stomach flu, don't know if dogs can have that? Anyway it started Tuesday, he had to go out at 8 in the morning and he never gets up that early but the rest of the day was oké for him, but yesterdayevening we had to take him out every 2 hours, poor thing!!! And this morning at 5:30 when Finn got up he (Sjors) did it in the livingroom, yak!! So I was cleaning the floor at 5:30 and walking outside 20 min later!!!

And it was COLD, brrrrrrr!!!!!

He is sleeping right now so i can go to the stores and get him something to eat, he doesn't like rice or ricewater (the dog we had before him had some serious stomach problems and when he ate rice he was doing much better)

So please keep you fingers crossed he will be better this weekend!!!!!

We had such a laugh shooting this pics, I asked the boys if they could do a little dance for me and so they did, but while they where goofing around this cool 20 year old guy that lives in our street drove by our house and saw them dancing and was laughing at them Finn waved at him and laughed back but Rick..........was sooooo embarressed

and had a head like a tomato, hahaha!!!

Can't tell you how happy I was when hubby called me from work and told me the computerguy fixed my laptop!!!

It had a virus that made it impossible to start the laptop up?????

don't know how it got there, but we got rit of it!!

Life, without the internet!!!!!

Is very quite, that might be a good thing no arguments who's turn it is to play a game!!

But that is the only good thing I must say!!

Hubby was bored to death yesterday while I was watching America's next supermodel and project Catwalk (dutch version) , and finaly decided to play a game on his phone (how sad is that)

And to be honest I miss you girls, I miss reading all your blogs and seeing all your pics and all your creations!!:(:(:(:(:(:(

Tomorrow my dad will come over and see if he can connect Rick's computer to the internet, let's hope he can!!

The laptop is at the computerguy, and we are sooooo keeping our fingers crossed he can fix it!!!!

My tooth is doing fine again,the infection is almost gone and my face has the normal shape again!!

This weekend is horsemarket in our town, so we will be out whole weekend! Friday the fair opens, Saturday there isan artmarket with jazzmusic and Sunday there will be a big jazband, Monday there will be a big market in our village in the evenings there is music!!!

Across our street there will be all kind of horseraces!!

They say the weather will be great so I think we will have a great time!!!!

I will be thinking of you and post a message as soon as possible!

What a week!!! (warning long post)

First of all I want to apologize for not being around so much, but it has to do with everything this week happend!!!

Last Thursday I had a little pain in my back tooth, nothing terrible I grate in my sleep and I sometimes feel that the other day!!!

But the next day it got worse and the next day even more, after an almost sleepless night Saturday to Sunday I woke up Sundaymorning and my face was swollen and the pain was so horrible that I had to call the dentist!!

But..... going to the dentist on a Sunday isn't that easy I had to call around the whole island before I got a number of a dentist that worked that day!!:(

They said I could come at 5, so I had a whole day ahead of me, I asked if I could take some painkillers and they said I could take double dose!! I did and I felt like I was flowing around the house!!!!

The dentist made a photo of my tooth and said there where a few smal infections in my root canal, but my crown was to high and cause of that there was constant tention on my jaw!!

So he polished my crown to take the tention off and said it could be that the infection would go over by themselfs, I could take more painkillers and the pain had to reduce within the next 3 days if not I would nead a root canal treatment!!!:(:(:(:(

It's Thursday now and my face isn't that swollen anymore and the pain isn't that bad too, but I still have to take painkillers so I'll wait till Monday and if I still have to take them I will go and see the dentist again!!:(:(:(

You understand I didn't scrap for the whole weekend so when I felt a little better I did some DT work!!! I finished it and uploaded it to my laptop and all went well, I was ready to send them by e-mail so I wanted to visit some blogs before and than my laptop totally crashed!!!!!!! First I got all this strange pop-ups about protection and then .......................nothing!!!

Hubby tried to get it going again but nothing!!!

He took the laptop (that's all we have, Rick has an old computer but no internet) to work so the computerguy could take a look at it!!! He was able to fix it again, so yesterday afternoon I tried to mail, cause that would be right in time and guess what ........................ nothing no e-mail, first I could receive mail but now I can't either!! I can use the internet though!!

We tried to call the helpdesk of our provider yesterday but we couldn't get through!!!

So hubby will try to get in touch with them again today!!

So Scrapping the Music I am sooooo sorry that I couldn't send you my LO in time!!!

So I will show you mine here and send it to you as soon as my e-mail works again!!!

This week song is Gotta be somebody by Nickelback (hmmmm Julie this one is from you isn't it??) It's a great song!!!

Here is what I created!!

The one is of course my hubby!!!!!

I used my vey first Kreatorville Krafts kit for this one, I loooooove that kit!!

Packed with gorgeous paper and goodies!!!

Everything is from the kit exept for the Mellissa Francis tickets and the pink roses I made those from an old t'shirt!!!

Keep yur fingers crossed that my toothache and my computertrouble will be over soon!!

That's the title of my first LO for Scrapping the Music!!!

This week is movie week so this weeks song is from a movie and this time it's the classic song The rainbow connection from the "70s movie The Muppet Connection!!
And don't we all love the muppets!!!

I thought a long time what to do, searched the internet for rainbow photo's and inspiration but I couldn't find anything!

So I took a long look at the lyrics and decided to use these lines as my title!!

It reminded me of when I was a little girl and my mom always told me make a wish and it may just come through as long as you wish hard enough and be a good and brave girl!!

And brave I was, but a lot of my wishes where never answered!!

That's not a bad thing, don't get me wrong!!

I just try to take life the way it is and believe me till now when things where really tough I always found a way to accept and deal with it!!

And now for something completely diffrent, I got this great award from Jeanet!!

Hi all, hope you all had a wonderfull weekend!!

We had TERRIBLE weather, can you believe Thursday I was sitting outside in shorts and a tanktop and Saturday I was wearing a wintercoat, boots and gloves and we couldn't leave the house without an umbrella!!!!:(

But we had to go outside to watch Finn's soccergame, it was the last one of the season and his team won their league YAY!!

This time it was my turn to come up with a challenge and since Monday was our anniversary I thought it would be fun to do a romantic one!!!

Can't believe we are married for 14 years now, we know eachother 22 years (that's more than half of my life)!!!!

I remember the first time I saw him, my friend had a huge crush on him and introduced me to him and I was like YAK what an arrogant ....!!!! Hahaha and look now, he can still be arrogant but he is the sweetest and loving man ever!! I hope we will be together for a long time!!

That's it for today!!!

Tomorrow it's Queensday in the Netherlands, we celebrate our Queen and her fam.

The whole country is celebrating, everybody is dressed in orange (our national color) the Queen and her fam will be visiting 2 towns and there will be all kinds of activities everywhere!!

Pete has to work (bummer) , so I will take the boys to the villagecentre (I'll take a photo of "the centre" and you will see that centre is a big word) where they can do all kind of games!!!

Dear hubby trying to take Sjors out of a walk in the rain!!! And as you see he is doing a great job, hahaha!!!

I made the clouds of some chipboard cupcake toppings!!

And speaking of Sjors, when I was playing outside with him this afternoon he ran away and hurt one of his paws and now he is walking with a limp!! He can stand but the walking isn't going very well, we will keep an eye on him this weekend to see what happens!!:(

And here is Finn showing his new socceroutfit, he got from Pete!! the soccerseason is almost over, only 2 or 3 games and it's done (I never understand why they stop when the weather gets better, whole winter my toes are freezing off and when I actually like to go and see a match the season is over???) But the fun thing is that Finn's team did a great job and they might be the champions within 2 weeks YAY!!!

Scrapped!!!

I did this one for Sketchy Thursdays, they had a great sketch again and they have a bonus cause they have a double challemge together with Who's that girl!!!

So a sketch and a prompt this time!!

The prompt is Right now, what are you doing, what is keeping you busy!!!

I decided to show you the "highlights" of my day today, so hold on tight and see how exciting my life is right now, hahaha!!!

Here is my top 5 for today!!!
Today

1. I made fresh cannelloni for diner (took forever but tasted good)

2. I still had to wear my gloves outside (wow it was COLD today, I am so tired of that)

3. I lost my baby and found him back again! ( He was playing outside, the kids can play outside by there own here, with a friend when the the other kid had to to the tennis his dad send

Finn home but he never got here, so there we go again surching the whole village for Finn

I found him playing soccer with some other kids and he totally forgot to tell me!!! Yeah right!!)

4. My kitchen looks like a pharmacy both boys have hayfever now! (first it was just Rick and now Finn has it to, and Pete and I both have a terrible cold right now)

5. I really should do some ironing, but I didn't (just didn't feel like doing that tomorrow, I'll regret that tomorrow when there will be more!!)

See isn't that the most exciting day ever, I should have take another day!!

No LO's, but photo's!!!

So we've been to the Zoo Saturday and no we did not get to feed the snakes, thanks heaven for that!!!! He was a little dissapointed but we had a great day anyway!!

We got to feed the racoons (no Julie no Cheetos, they were racoons weren't they with your friend?), camels and some kind of swines (can't remember there name but they where ugly) We had to be there at 8 in the morning, the Zoo was still closed so I took some great pics!! Don't worry I won't show you all of them!!

This was hard cause there are so many gorgeous cities that I have seen or would love to visit once! I've been to Barcelona 19 years ago (that long?) I was on a vacation with a friend in Salou (that was the place to be when we where young free and single!!!) but we decided to do something educational and took the train (gorgeous trip btw) to Barcelona!! And it was so beautiful!! If you ever get the change you should go and see for yourself!!

Any plans for the weekend?? We are going to the zoo tomorrowmorning, it's a day from Pete's work!! We have to be there at 8 (in the morning) than we will have breakfast and after that we will have a tour and the kids wcan help feeding some animals!!! Finn is soooo hoping he can feed the snakes, YAK I told him he would have to give a mouse or a little bird but he didn't care!! We'll see tomorrow what happens!!

We had such a great time and we ate so much of all this that i must have gained at least 3 pounds (or maybe it was all the chocolate at Easter)

Found the paper in a Dutch scrapstore and I loooved it!!!

This is a weddingpicture from my parents!! April 7th was their weddingdate, they would have been married for 43 years (I believe).

Hope you will have a great day today!! Ours started VERY wet, look Pete is trying to take Sjors for his morning walk!! It's like he is saying he really hates the rain (he should be used to that by now) and i don't blame him!!!

And here is a LO I did for Scrapping the Music, I loooove this weeks song Fireflies!!!I used a lot of American Crapfts here and made the paintspots with acrylicpaint and water!! I used the line a 1000 hugs cause that is what Sjors looooves most, he doesn't really like to play with balls and all but he love to hug and his favourite is likking your ears!!!

I used a Pencillines sketch to get me started
